Platycerium bifurcatum - mounted on tree fern fibre backing (approx. 40cm diameter).
The magnificent elk horn fern has broad, sheild shaped fronds from which emerge upright, forked fronds. Plantlets grow from the base of the sheild, resulting in large clumps.
Easily grown in cool, moist, shady conditions. Ensure adequate moisture at all times. Protect from snails and slugs. In cold areas, reduce watering during winter to avoid rotting.
